TopGrid 3.01 - Setting a new Grid Standard
ObjectSight is pleased to announce the release of TopGrid 3.01. The new release of 3.01 builds on the already powerful and easy to use TopGrid component set. The primary enhancment in V3 is the ability to automatically sort and group rows within a databound grid, and provide independent scrolling.

New features added to 3.01 are...
  1. Built in Grouping operations of data for both databound and unbound grids
  2. Built in Sorting operations of data for both databound and unbound grids.
  3. Built in Layout Memory for end-users using the new TosLayoutManager component.
  4. Indepedent scrolling for databound grids - grid can scroll and move thru data without affecting the current record position of the dataset.
  5. DataType property on column object for unbound sorting operations.
  6. XP Drawing Mode for buttons and checkboxes.
  7. Alternating row color
  8. Support for images within the heading
  9. New Column properties such as MinWidth, MaxWidth, AutoSize, DisplayFormat, ShowTextEllipsis, AutoAdvance, AutoDropdown, GroupDateTimeSegment
  10. New column and combo designers.
  11. New ComboQuery with ComboSQL feature to supply SQL for dropdowns.
  12. New popup memo editor
  13. New component TosDbTgDateEdit to provide existing TopGrid datetime dropdown as an independent datetime control.
  14. Built in grid popup menu to support common activities such as print, preview, export, grouping/sorting.
  15. Built in column heading popup meny to support common activities such as alignment, sorting, grouping, and others.
  16. Printing enhanced to support grouping operations to display headers and footers of groups.
  17. New Grid TotalBand to provide a total display for designated columns.
  18. New field selector to drag and drop hidden columns onto the grid at run-time.
  19. Copy TtsDbGrid property to select a TtsDbGrid component and copy all column definitions over to make migration from TtsDbGrid easier.
  20. Cell Merging supported on columns.
  21. New property HighlightEditRow to provide row hilite when editing a cell.
  22. New property GradientSelect to provide alternative look to row selection.
  23. New property AutoSizeColumns to automatically size columns on grid to fit grid width and eliminate horizontal scrollbar.
